Position Summary:
The content marketing lead owns the creation and execution of a content strategy that strengthens brand presence, engages target audiences, and drives demand across channels. This role owns the content calendar, manages production, and ensures that all content supports the customer journey and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Own and maintain the editorial calendar to ensure a steady flow of relevant content.
- Write, edit, and publish high-quality content including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, newsletters, video scripts, and social media posts.
- Own and organize strategic webinars.
- Collaborate with design, sales, and SEO teams to produce optimized content for visibility, engagement, and lead generation.
- Repurpose content across multiple formats and channels to extend reach and impact.
- Analyze content performance metrics (traffic, engagement, conversions) and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Oversee external freelancers, agencies, and content partners.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging consistency.
- Support campaign launches with tailored content pieces across marketing channels.
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with overall company objectives and target audience needs.
- Define content goals for awareness, engagement, lead generation, and customer retention.
- Conduct audience and competitor research to identify content opportunities and gaps.
- Industry Awareness: Staying updated on industry trends and incorporating best practices in content creation.
Content Creation & Management
- Own and maintain the editorial calendar to ensure a steady flow of relevant, high-quality content.
- Write, edit, and publish engaging content including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, newsletters, video scripts, guides, eBooks, and social media posts.
- Organize, host, and manage strategic webinars and virtual events, ensuring engaging content and measurable outcomes.
- Repurpose and adapt content across multiple formats and channels to maximize reach and impact.
- Ensure all content reflects brand guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging consistency.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Work closely with sales and the rest of the marketing team to create optimized, audience-centric content.
- Partner with demand generation teams to build content that supports campaigns, and helps client nurturing efforts.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce thought leadership content.
Optimization & Performance Tracking
- Monitor and analyze content performance metrics (traffic, engagement, conversion rates, pipeline influence).
- Provide insights and recommendations to refine the content strategy.
- Apply SEO best practices to drive organic visibility and ranking improvements.
- Continuously test new content formats, distribution tactics, and messaging approaches.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and formats.
- Strong strategic thinking with proven ability to build and execute multi-channel content strategies.
- Excellent project management skills; able to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them in content creation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret content performance data and translate insights into action.
- Comfortable producing a wide range of content formats (blogs, whitepapers, case studies, video scripts, webinars, newsletters, eBooks, social posts).
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, design, and subject matter experts.
- Experience managing freelancers, agencies, or external partners to deliver high-quality content at scale.
- Creative mindset with an eye for storytelling and positioning content to drive engagement and demand.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to advocate for content strategy and articulate impact to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing content strategies that drive measurable business results.
- Hands-on experience with SEO, content management systems (CMS), and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, WordPress).
- Experience planning and hosting webinars, virtual events, or thought leadership initiatives.
- Proven track record of creating content aligned to the buyer’s journey, supporting both awareness and demand generation.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a content team or freelancers preferred.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to measure and report on content performance.
- Knowledge of the CX, outsourcing, or tech industry is a strong plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field, otherwise 5-7 years of professional experience in content marketing, copywriting, or related roles (preferably in B2B, SaaS, or professional services)..
- If degree, 2–4 years of professional experience in content marketing, copywriting, or related roles (preferably in B2B, SaaS, or professional services).
