Lead Network Engineer (SDQ)
Position Summary:
As a Lead Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems. You will lead a team of network engineers, provide technical guidance, and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of all network infrastructure. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing network-related projects, and responding to high-level incidents. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and expertise in network architecture and protocols are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers in daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective task execution.
- Lead and manage network-related projects from conception to completion, including planning, design, implementation, and documentation.
- Perform comprehensive network administration, including configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network devices.
- Drive network optimization initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
- Implement and manage network monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Oversee incident management, ensuring the timely resolution of network-related problems and minimizing downtime.
- Ensure that the corporate network infrastructure meets the compliance certifications (PCI DSS, SOC2 Type 2, HIPAA, etc.) requirements.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of network policies, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of guiding and motivating teams.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Superior problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
- Highly service-oriented with a commitment to providing excellent support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP, IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, IPSEC, SNMP, STP) is required.
- Experience with Fortinet or Ubiquiti products is highly desirable.
- Experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Site24x7, Cacti, or SolarWinds is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Networking, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Network Engineer, with proven experience in: Network infrastructure implementations, Network administration, Network troubleshooting, Wireless Networking
- At least one professional certification in the network field (e.g., CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Network+).
