Position Summary:
The IT Specialist professional works with different computer systems discussing and assisting our collaborators with their needs. This role requires a variety of technical and personal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work within our ticketing system to create detailed work logs and technical Documentation.
- Participate in the on-call weekend rotation as agreed by the Tier One Support team when required.
- Maintain good working relationships with all cooperative workers.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, printers, and scanners
- Troubleshoot & Fix Damaged assets.
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
- Troubleshoot voice software through the different departments.
- Support for basic customer issues such as solving usage problems and fulfilling service desk requests that need IT involvement.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple language.
- Ability to handle and prioritize a lot of tasks each day.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
- Attention to detail and organization.
- A technical, logical thought process.
- Observational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problems.
- An ability to stick to strict deadlines.
- An ability to prioritize and delegate.
- BPO knowledge to better understand the specific needs of customers.
Education and Experience:
- An IT Specialist must be graduated or finalizing studies in the following related fields of Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics & Electricals, or any other related field.
- 1+ years of experience in similar roles or related fields.
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent course knowledge.
- Interest in further career development.
