Shopify Implementation Developer (BOG)

Position Summary: 

As a Shopify Implementation Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Shopify stores. This includes working on both front-end and back-end development, theme customization, app integrations, and providing technical support to ensure optimal performance. You will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and other developers to implement new features and optimize the store for a high-quality user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Set up Shopify stores from scratch, including domain setup, payment gateways, shipping configurations, and tax settings.
• Install and configure themes to align with brand guidelines.
• Customize and develop Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and Liquid.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and functional store layouts.
• Implement and integrate third-party apps (API integrations) and services such as payment gateways, shipping solutions, inventory management tools, and customer management systems.
• Customize Shopify apps or create custom apps as needed using Shopify API and frameworks.
• Ensure optimal site performance, including site speed, SEO best practices, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and project managers, to align the store’s performance with business goals.
• Communicate with clients or stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Perform regular updates, backup, and monitoring of Shopify sites.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent (near-native) written, spoken and comprehension in English is a requirement for this job
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Shopify platform, Liquid templating language, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations.
• Strong grasp of responsive web design techniques.
• Experience in user experience and user interface design.
• Extensive knowledge of web development strategies.
• Understanding of server-side technologies (like PHP and Node.js).
• Experience with integrating third-party services.
• Ability to troubleshoot API integrations.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience working with Shopify development.
• Proven experience in building and managing successful Shopify e-commerce stores.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
