Position Summary

We’re looking for a Benefits Verification Specialist to help our patients navigate their healthcare journey. You'll be the ultimate go-between for patients, doctors, and insurance companies. From securing quick treatment approvals to breaking down out-of-pocket costs, your work ensures that patients can focus on what actually matters: getting better. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough coverage checks and eligibility verifications with health insurance carriers.
  • Initiate, submit, track, and secure prior authorizations for patient medications and treatment plans.
  • Calculate and communicate patient financial responsibilities.
  • Efficiently manage a high volume of support tasks and messages, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolution of insurance-related barriers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance and financial details clearly and empathetically to patients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail when navigating patient records.
  • Proactive mindset with a proven ability to independently investigate coverage denials and troubleshoot pharmacy or insurance delays.

Education & Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in health insurance verification, prior authorizations, medical billing, or a medical customer service role.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative and/or customer-facing role.
