Internal Auditor (SDQ)
Position Summary:
Horatio is looking for a professional Internal Auditor to coordinate and oversee our operations in the accounting department. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting internal audits and revisions to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s internal controls. It will also provide advice and recommendations to improve the organization’s processes and controls. You should be ready to work with the team members and implement best practices across all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Check the accounting records.
- Review the documents that support the transactions.
- Validate required approvals according to policies
- Review and suggest changes to procedures.
- Prepare internal control policies.
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate the organization’s risks,
- Provide recommendations to improve processes and controls.
- Collaborate with other areas of the organization, such as operations
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven work experience as an Auditor or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of organizational processes and control.
- Understanding and experience in the application of Internal Auditing Standards.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office / Google Docs.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good writing in English is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
