Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a high-energy, results-driven Collection Specialist to join our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be crucial in managing the company's accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills to maintain positive relationships with our clients and other internal departments while effectively addressing payment issues. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contact clients with overdue invoices and implement effective strategies to secure timely payments. 
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports to promptly identify and address delinquent accounts. 
  • Communicate internally with relevant departments to understand and resolve payment delays and billing queries. 
  • Process and monitor refunds, chargebacks, and invoice disputes. 
  • Build positive relationships with clients and GTM to facilitate open communication regarding payment terms and dispute resolution. 
  • Document all collection activities, conversations, and agreements in the company's financial systems for accurate record-keeping. 
  • Assisting in implementing new AR automation and management tools

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced/Fluent (Bilingual) English level.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Data-oriented with excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports 
  • High level of Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets 
  • High level of quality awareness, accuracy, and attention to detail 
  • Sense of urgency and customer-oriented mindset 
  • Ability to work with persistence and independence in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving attitude and raising flags on time to managers. 
  • Willingness to take on ad hoc projects 
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to plan work schedules, manage multiple projects/plans/tasks simultaneously, and manage expectations
 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Collection/billing (or related) background with at least 3 years of professional experience - advantage if background at hi-tech SAAS companies
  • Previous experience with Zuora, Salesforce and Netsuite - a major advantage
