SWE Product Owner (SDQ)

Position Summary:

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions. The role will act as the bridge between the business stakeholders and the engineering team, ensuring that the product vision aligns with customer needs and company goals.

This position requires expertise in data warehousing, particularly with Snowflake, and proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning.

Responsibilities:

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals.
• Create, prioritize, and maintain a product backlog aligned with the strategy and goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Work with designers, developers, QA, and other teams to ensure timely and quality product delivery.
• Lead sprint planning, set goals, and prioritize tasks for the engineering team.
• Continuously gather user feedback and analyze data to refine and improve the product.
• Coordinate product releases, prepare release notes, and communicate new features.
• Define and track KPIs to measure product success and inform decisions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

The ideal candidate for this role will have a combination of technical skills and knowledge and strong problem-solving and communication abilities. Some specific qualities and qualifications that may be desirable for this role include:

• Strong understanding of software development processes, Agile methodologies, and technologies used in software engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or other Agile certifications are a plus.
