Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative eCommerce Website Development Specialist to join our digital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of our e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and efficient online shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Development: Develop, and maintain the company’s e-commerce website, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
- Front-End and Back-End Development: Work on both front-end and back-end development tasks, including coding, debugging, and implementing new features.
- Content Management: Manage and update website content using a content management system (CMS), ensuring all information is current and accurate.
- E-Commerce Integration: Integrate e-commerce functionalities such as shopping carts, payment gateways, and third-party plugins to enhance the online shopping experience.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize website performance, including speed, responsiveness, and overall site efficiency.
- SEO and Analytics: Implement SEO best practices and track website performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Cross-Device and Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure the website is fully responsive and functions seamlessly across various devices and browsers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to ensure website alignment with branding and marketing strategies.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Security: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect customer data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced English proficiency
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles is a plus.
- Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years experience in eCommerce website development, preferably in a retail or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CMS (e.g., WordPress).
