Position Summary:

As a Data Science Specialist (SDQ), you will support business optimization by leveraging data analysis to identify strengths, areas for improvement, operational efficiency, and growth opportunities, both in the short and long term. You will drive continuous product and business improvements through cross-functional collaboration, data-driven insights, and strategic initiatives. Proficiency in data analysis tools, business intelligence platforms, and statistical methods will be essential in translating complex data into actionable recommendations. Additionally, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency across various metrics and dashboards. You will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to implement data-driven solutions, all while ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using data analysis tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Utilize your expertise in data visualization best practices to create compelling and informative visual representations of data.
  • Analyze complex datasets and identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop data models, queries, and transformations to ensure accurate and efficient data retrieval.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams to understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable insights reports.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data visualizations and reports.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on using data visualization tools and interpreting multiple metrics.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence and data visualization.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering and product teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the business intelligence and data visualization workflows.
 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced English proficiency. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze large and complex data sets and identify trends and insights.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI (please share your portfolio, if you have one).
  • Understanding of data collection, cleaning, transformation, and analysis processes.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express complex issues in plain language with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced and growing business.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL preferred.
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies, tools, and processes preferred.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data analysis and reporting.
 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field preferred or experience in the field
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Science Specialist or in a similar role.
