Senior Data Engineer (SDQ)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing and orchestrating data pipelines, particularly using Apache Airflow, and extracting data from various sources to support our data-driven decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines. 

● Orchestrate data extraction from APIs and manage complex data workflows. 

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making. 

● Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices

Required Skills/Abilities:

● Advanced English proficiency. 

● Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, and JavaScript. 

● Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and data management principles. 

● Knowledge of Snowflake and Astronomer for data warehousing and ETL. 

● Familiarity with data structures, OOP, and software architecture patterns. 

● Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and managing webhooks. 

● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with AWS services (MWAA, Glue, S3, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager). 
• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
• Data engineering certification is a plus.
