Position Summary:
Horatio is seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources to lead and scale our HR function. This role will drive the overall people strategy, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives while fostering a high-performing, compliant, and engaging work environment. The Senior Manager, Human Resources will oversee all HR operations, partner closely with senior leadership, and play a critical role in organizational growth, culture, and talent development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth and workforce planning.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve HR programs, policies, and processes across core areas, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, and learning & development.
- Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies and Dominican Labor Law.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture.
- Lead workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies to meet current and future business needs.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations; proactively update policies and practices as needed.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies; translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Advise senior leadership on evolving HR practices and drive the adoption of scalable, innovative solutions.
- Develop and manage the HR department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources aligned with business priorities.
- Lead the ongoing development of the HR team through training, certifications, and career growth initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required to support business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior Human Resources leadership role, with a strong balance of strategic and operational expertise.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Deep knowledge of HR best practices across all functional areas.
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, investigations, and complex HR matters.
- Experience with HR systems, data analysis, and reporting to drive insights and decisions.
- In-depth knowledge of Dominican Labor Law and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities in a managerial or senior role.
- Strong command of English (written and verbal) required.
